HD and DVD position

Hi,
this is my first thead, i do believe im posting in the right place,if it has been asked before, and i dont speak english much so ill try to be clear, so sorry

I would like to know if there is a way to switch the position of my DVD player and second hard drive without physicaly changing them? By that i mean, switching my DVD which is D: to my HD ( which is E: ) so DVD becomes E: and HD becomes D:?

This depends on your cables and motherboard. The motherboard may only support 2 pieces of IDE hard ware, or it may support 4. If you have 2 single cables, this is not really possible. If you have 2 cables of which at least 1 is a double one this should be possible. Just open up your computer and swap the cables around. Maybe the cables are not long enough and you'll have to get an extender. Good luck. Hope this helps,
