help with these definitions

My question comes from that i want to connect two pc to the internet network using speddy or Terra: Well I was asking to other guy how to connect two pc using the same modem and he replies it is not possible so when you ask for another internet service ask to the company that connects to the network not to USB so you can buy a switch and then you can connect 3 to 5 pc to this point. Could you explain e what does mean connect to the network not to USB.

Im not sure exactly what you mean!
Im running 1 ADSL Router modem from 1 pc through a USB port, then to a switch where 3 pc's are currently onboard. They each have an ethernet card. Internet access is working on all 3.

That guy means that you cannot share your internet connection if you have an USB DSL modem. This is not completely true but indeed things are easier if you get a modem with ethernet connection.
