  1. Hi. I just got HijackThis because I think that someone is stealing this computers bandwith. My dad said that this computer used to be fast, now its got 35 kb/s downloads. This is supposed to be a fast internet connection. Can someone please tell me how to remove this network? It doesn't show up in Network Connections.

you need to use hijackthis to fix the following:

    C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe
    C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exe
    O3 - Toolbar: AOL Toolbar - {DE9C389F-3316-41A7-809B-AA305ED9D922} - (no file)

    If you know this one
    O16 - DPF: {77E32299-629F-43C6-AB77-6A1E6D7663F6} (Groove Control) - http://www.nick.com/common/groove/gx/GrooveAX27.cab
    OK - otherwise fix it.

If you have slow connections, first tell your ISP as it may be down to them.
Stealing bandwidth should be easy to see but your router needs to be able to tell you what other computers are logging on to the DHCP service.
Easiest way to stop them is to change the name of the SSID, change the security settings and values, log in your computers and then hide the SSID.
