How do i get rid of a trojan generic 10-hjf

Hi all, my first post so please be kind to me if i have already made mistakes so here goes.
I have done a AVG scan in save mode and it came back with two trojan viruses, both are trojan generic 10-h j f. except one says infected embedded object, and the other says infected archive, it says they cant remove them. can anyone help solve my problem

Trojan 10.hjf

Removal is AVG Delete file (to quarantine) not try to clean file

Did AVG give you the filename and location?

Hi kimsland,
not I remember, it told me to delete the rar file which I did and also to empty me re- bin which I also did. but when I run avg it tells me i still have the trojan :eek:(

Open AVG; single click on the virus vault, and select empty
Turn off System Restore (this will remove all restore points on your computer)
Start-->Control Panel-->System-->System Restore

Download CCleaner and remove all temporary files

Confirm AVG is updated

Either run a new scan,
or
Go to Start-->Search-->Maximize the window-->All files and folders-->More Advanced Options-->
Select to tick "Search Hidden and system files and folders
In the all or part of the filename (box) type *.rar
In the "Look In" box, confirm C drive
--> search
Hopefully AVG will pick it up

Hi kimsland,
sorry about the time delay, tried what you said but I am afraid every time avg does a scan it says I still have the trojan :eek:(
thanks for your help though
