How do I keep from loosing my patches?

I'm sure this is a simple question; when I wipe my hd how do I keep my bf2 patches? I know I can back them up on a dvd or something but can someone give me a detailed walkthrough on how to reinstall them? Is it as simple a click and drag of of the dvd?

Patches are usually executable programs that you can run (and install) by either double clicking on them or run from Start > Run, much like any other program. This means you don't install them by simply cutting and pasting files to a folder but, instead, running an installation program.

Are you talking about your computer being "refreshed" then still be able to just drag them and drop them from your backed up
files to his current one?

If that's the question, Like Mailpup said they are just .exe files that you double click to reinstall so... yeah you can just back them up and reinstall

Go to program files and find your BF Folder and copy everything.
Your patches will be in there as well as long you didn't make a different directory when you downloaded it
