Hello all,
Somehow, there is no restore disk, boot disk, or backup disk for either my Vista comp or my XP comp. I was wondering if there was a way to burn a new boot disk so that if one of the comps crash, I will have a disk to boot from.
Thanks

Most computers, which came without Windows CD/DVD as it's been a case for a while, should have recovery partition, came with recovery disks, or have a program to create recovery disks.

In my Emachines the file path for this is "Start" > "All Programs" > "System Recovery" > "Create Recovery Media".

This is representative, but not necessarily identical to what your machines nomenclature may be.

When creating recovery discs, please make certain you check "verify". If the discs are not burned correctly, without this checked, it is possible that you may not be allowed to burn another copy. This varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, and also from machine to machine. Best to be safe.
