How fast is your internet connection?

Advertised as 70Mbps down and 3Mbps up...... :) Virgin media UK. £28.25 a month.
Tried 150, But found it to be a little excessive for my needs.

I live in the Philippines, worst internet connection in the entire planet. PLDT Offers this 10mbps connection for about $500.00 per month. Support sucks as hell too!

Advertised 350 down, 30 up.... but rarely get more than 300/25....

Here's my results - Rogers in Toronto, Canada

They're advertising Gigabit internet - will have to research :)

Rogers does not offer a 350/30 package that I know of.

Your connection results look the same as mine which means you are on the 250/20 package.

The Gigabit package is 1Gpbs/50mbps

Well I work for a major ISP... 'the' major ISP. And yes I am looking for another company. My speeds back when I had comcasts 75M connection were usually 83-90M. I'm now with mediacom and getting about 53M out of my 50M. It seems the days of selling 50M, promising up to 45M, then actually allowing 43.5M are over. May the dominos of the evil empires fall into dust...

The fastest I've seen while actually downloading is 2.5 MB/s but a quick check by speedtest.net places me at 60.5/4.2.

(question drives me into a spin).
Unless you're running a server, the bandwidth is almost meaningless, as normal usage is seldom more than 25%.
Those hosting LAN parties for gaming may actually need better bandwidth however.

Download Speed: 2283 kbps (285.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 582 kbps (72.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
this is the same result I get from everywhere else as well.
