How much Wattage for UPS

I need to get a battery backup device and want to know what wattage handling I need. Basically my computer uses a 580W power supply and the computer will be the only plug in the battery backup port.

You're protecting the components within your enclosure and therefore not protecting
the monitor, printger, and network devices. This is a choice and usually the
one that is both the most expensive and precious (ie contains your data).

The wattage of the PSU is it's maximum delivered output. To be safe, you
would select a UPS of equal or greater WATTAGE rating, not the VA rating.
