How to run my Video Card in 16X

Hi

I just put this computer tougher and I ran CPU-Z and my video card is running in 8X. How do I change it to 16X if possible?

XFX 7800GT
AMD 64 3200
Albatron--K8SLI
600W power supply
80GB hard drive

List the model of your mother board, as not all mobos support 16x. :hotbounce

I looked at the motherboard manual at the site you linked to. It says you have two PCI-E X 8 slots. So it looks like that's it.

If this concerne you may want a new mobo. They aren't that much 30$$-80$$ (american)

I wouldn't be too concerned. The graphics cards out today aren't using anywhere near the full potential of the x16 slots, and I bet your card is not even using the full x8.

In other words, if you have two identical cards and motherboards, the only difference being one motherboard had pci-E x8 and the other had pci-E x16, I doubt you'd even notice a difference in performance.
