I need help with WinXP activation

I upgraded some hardware on my computer and Xp told me I needed to reactivate. Everytime I try to reactivate it says that I have network problems that won't let it activate. Everything on my computer is working fine and I have tried to activate windows many times in the past few days. The biggest problm I am having now is the grace period for activation is up and my computer was restarted. Now I can't get into my windows account at all. My computer is basically useless right now. Can someone please help me out with this? Thanks

Call microsoft, there should be a number listed to call for precisely this problem. You give them your lisence key, tell them that you aren't running it on multiple computers, and they give you a code you enter.
