Icon gone

Hello All,
my icon for show the desk top is gone . how do I get that icon back?

I can find the icon (in Vista) by navigating here:

C:\Users\NAMEOFUSER\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

(I removed my username because it contains personal information)

From there, you can just drag the Show Desktop icon to the QuickLaunch bar.

andoyan, I checked your previous post and it appears you have Windows XP. You should let us know the OS you have as the path can be different:

Right click on the Desktop> click on 'arrange icons by'> make sure 'show icons' is checked.

If it is already checked, reboot the computer> did the icons come up?

IF not, do you notice any other problems with the system> if Yes> go through the Virus and Malware Removal and post the logs for us to check: https://www.techspot.com/community/...lware-removal-preliminary-instructions.58138/
