ID of Windows XP Pro

I started to install win xp pro on my computer but did not have the right certificate # to continue installation. How do I uninstall it or is the certificiate # on the cd disk? Or is there a way to install win xp media center over it?

You must be using a non genuine XP disc.

A genuine copy of an operating system will be clearly marked with the license number on the sleeve of the CD.

Yes the genuine OS key is sometimes on a removable label attached to the documentation. if you tried the key supplied and the installation failed, most likely the XP copy is not genuine and it may be a pirated copy. Retail copies of XP are not sold any longer. I have tried to purchase XP on EBay but I have only received useless keys
