  1. Blue screen of death? Stop error
    have run IDE Drive Diagnostics - results:
    Primary IDE
    Drive 0: WDC WD400BB-75FRA0
    Drive 1: No IDE Device

    Secondary IDE
    Drive 0: HL-DT-ST GCE-8481B
    Diagnostics not supported
    Drive 1: No IDE device

    has my computer (Dell Dimension 360) finally crashed?

    Well, the hard drive may have crashed...
    But there is a rash of these error messages lately... so if you can afford the new hard drive (which you probably need anyway), install then run an install. If that works, you are on your way. Save the old hard drive to place in an external USB enclosure so you can save all the data, files, documents, etc. from it to the new drive when everything is installed.
