Installed 2 LiteOn IHAS22406 DVD drives, XP only sees 1

Not a computer wiz but have a problem. I installed 2 new LiteOn IHAS22406 dvd drives on XP Pro system to replace 2 nonfunctioning drives. My system only recognizes 1 of the drives. Any ideas as to how to fix this problem?

First thing I would is check the cables to your drives if ok go into the bios to see if it list and make sure the are enabled.

Power and SATA cables are properly connected and both drives show in bios on SATA ports. Found this post at TigerDirect under product reviews dated the day after I received the drives:


"have bought two of these as i like to have similar products for compatability but if you install two of these in the same system they will only show one the manafacturer told me this and that there is no firmware update to fix it so i am left with only one burner and have to buy another no apolagy from them but tough you have to wait for a fix"

I don't know if there is some other remedy. Any suggestions?
