Installing BF1942 on windows vista

i bought the collectors edition of battlefield 1942 and so i try to install it.

i dont know if its the CD or vista but at exactly 11% a error pops up saying

"Specified component cannot be found in the media. An attempt was made to access a component that does not exist in the named media."

i have no clue what that means but it keeps popping up.

can some1 help me please
