Installing Norton Internet Security 2006 messes up MS Office 2003

Hi,
I've seen similar problems in this forum but not the exact same thing.
I upgraded from Norton Antivirus to Norton Internet Security 2006. I use the firewall, antispam and antivirus.
Everything works fine for a couple of days, then the following problems occur:
- Outlook will not send or receive messages, says it can't connect to server
- Word, Powerpoint, Excel will not start until I kill the Norton antivirus task
- Norton Internet Security will not start
The problem disappears when I unstall Norton. This problem is reproducable with both Office 200 and Office 2003. One other thing I notice is that the first Virus scan says it has removed a virus - I beleive that this is a false signature. Don't know if this is related to the subsequent problem.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Go read the relevant postings in the Security forum, then start pulling your hair out that you wasted your money on such crappy bloatware!
Then swear you'll never buy anything from Symantec/Norton EVER again and follow the advise for the free software that has been published probably over 2'000 times on this website.

Remove Norton from your computer, defrag and throw the Norton CD-ROM in the garbage. Download AVG free.

also why BUY M$ office, when you can get OpenOffice for FREE and it is just as good, if not better.
