Intel's 12400F punches above its weight class, may be a serious budget competitor

We all need to thank AMD for forcing Intel to have decent prices this time around! Without AMD all of the 12 series CPU's would be grossly over-priced in typical Intel fashion.

Not sure of the price difference but the 12700 looks like the better choice over the 12400. I suspect the price difference is <$50.

The 7700K was a thousand dollars? The 1800x was $500?? And they really weren't all that comparable. Ryzen was a lot better than bulldozer but was still behind Intel.

7700K was way behind Ryzen on multithreading. Ryzen was comparable against Intel 8-core for around half price on multithreading. So yes, Ryzen was revolutionary.
