It's official: Apple announces iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Apple still playing catch up, finally implementing NFC and larger screens. Took them long enough, but now they also tarnished their phones with such ugly designs, killing their best "feature". People used to make fun of android when Apple was on top of the market just a few years ago, my how the mighty have fallen...

The iPhone 6 sounds like a old moto-x (2013), I can understand why they went with the lower resolution. Its looks like they introduced some 'now trending' products. I guess its a great news for people in the apple eco system.

The thing about the new 6 that pisses me off most is that they kept 16GB as the base amount of storage but raised the highest and middle tiers. It only costs them peanuts to add 16GB of storage.

I have to agree that 16GB is not sufficient for most people. however they do not seem to be charging as much premium for extra memory than in past it is approx $28.57 for each additional 16GB. For an Apple product that does seem cheap. However that is making the assumption that the price off contract has the same difference in price between models.

I am surprised at the level of negativity on the new iPhone 6. Loads of folks have criticised the shape of the new phone but the vast majority use a case anyhow so that is a bit of a non issue.

I am not an Apple fan but even I can recognise that the iPhone 6 does have superb performance and very good wifi. Their biggest downfall is the closed ecosystem.

I agree 100% 16GB is not enough and I think they know that. They will be getting an extra $100 from me and I think that was their plan but I am very mad! Also Really disappointing no better battery life. The battery life sucks! I was expecting more. Nothing that great really.

Let see if Samsung takes them to court for having curvy edges and more rounded corners

These new phones look very "girly" to me, not the cool aircraft ruggedness of the 4 and 5...sigh I was looking forward to upgrading too. They should have made a male and female version.

Just buy a camouflage case for it -- no problem -- very macho, ya know.

Look at that bigger size display.. I still remember when Steve Jobs still alive (read it from article) when apple trying to design a new upcoming iphone, one of the designer team came up with an idea: a bigger display, and Steve Jobs reject and angrily replied "..this is not android!" and that's why iphone display never get bigger and the design aesthetics of iphone always outstanding when Steve Jobs still alive.
