Au contraire! I think your reality is based on what you would like people to do with AI, not on what they are really doing with AI, and thus has no basis in reality at all.All you are doing is fear mongering with hypothetical. I operate in the state of reality. Hackers already steal identities.
I would go and argue the opposite of what you say, any reasonable logical human being would not be scared of terminators taking over the world because of AI. You living in Hollywood.
Technology keeps changing, imagine the folks who were screaming the same doom and gloom when the internet became a thing (I was there, I remember) or any other technological advancement.
You are not impressing anyone with your over aggressive hypothetical hollywood scenario posts.
News flash, AI has been here for a VERY LONG TIME. Its not new.
Hollyweird bases their depiction on what AI, itself, does after becoming sentient. AI is, not, obviously, sentient, and it is highly doubtful that it will ever become sentient at least in our lifetimes and likely within a very long time after that. Hollyweird does not posit what humans do with AI. That's the problem, what humans are doing with AI (not all humans, mind you) and unfortunately, not all humans have the best interests of humanity in mind.
There are humans out there who could give a crap about anything other than themselves. And like other bad actors in the world, that is where the problem lies and is what stands a very good chance of turning AI to crap for the rest of us, IMO.
EDIT - I'm not out to impress anyone. Perhaps you should look within to find out who is trying to impress someone.
