This is awesome. I've been saying all along AMD needs to just focus on IPC improvement; they've already proven their competency on the core-count front. Now, if the pricing structure of Zen 2 compares similarly to how AMD positioned Zen 1 while offering more bang for the consumer's buck for the consumers who are more value-conscious and budget oriented then they'll have another hot seller on their hands.

For the rest of this year, the 9900k is still going to be the chip to get for gaming. Clock speed still matters and the 3850x will be the only chip they clock to match it, not the 8/12 core variants. I predicted a launch price of 699 for that chip, but the market could see it sell closer to 1k.

People REALLY should stop citing that single leak as if it was guaranteed to be true.

You do realize that your perspective is also every bit as much speculation as mine right? Also I'm not directly or specifically citing anything although I could if I so desired and there's no really should not about it as that is anyone's prerogative to do.

My perspective is that people should stop blindly believing the leak to be true. That's the OPPOSITE of speculation.

If we wait for nxt gen cpu gpu ram and so on. we would maybe get 50-150% better performance in games. gta 6 with rtx on 8k full amd rts(x) full 4-8k. remember 1 st gen are just a test to next gen of gpu cpus ram. if you still can use youre gtx gpu and get low to med textures rts rtx on you dont need to upgrade it before FPS falls under 15 fps. gaming in 8 bit 10 12. more sound on games like dolby atmos would require more cpu speed and better sound cards. the codec of 266 267 may be requierd too. and dont forget about cinbench 3dmark would make it faster too. adobe 3d rendering programs would be ?? faster too.
