List of domains to block

Hi;
I am looking for a list of domains to block. I want to prevent adware, spyware, malware, virus, etc from getting past my router.
The router (D-Link DI-624) has a feature to block by domain or URL.
I have set to block by domain. So far, I have entered domains such as
doubleclick.net, .ru (to block all Russian sites), .cn (block Chinese).
Entering the country's domain seems to work.

I have found several sites that list web sites to block by Googling, but there are too many to pick from, and I am somewhat concerned that going onto some of those sites will get me exactly where I don't want to go.

is there the choice of ALLOW vs BLOCK?

The original domains for domestic names were
{ .NET .COM .GOV .EDU .MIL .ORG }

the .COM equiv for Brittion is { .co.uk }

The allow list might be shorter than the block list (if that works!!)
