Log On will Log Off

  1. An interesting problem has developed with my favorite desktop. After the computer gets up and running the Log On screen appears. When I go to log on, it begins to start the process and my desktop background appears, but before anything else, it says "Now logging off." The first time this occured, I thought I hit a key by accident, but multiple attempts at logging in won't allow me to log in.
I try safe mode to log in, and both my user account and administrator account will flash the desktop background before "Now Logging Off" pops up. Any idea what is wrong? Life on a laptop is no longer any fun.
