Looking for a program

Does anyone know of a free program that I can use in XP to film all of my on screen movements? Basically I need to send a video to someone to explain how to do something.

this will help if you have a video camera and capture card or usb type
I thought media player also captures video if you have the device install

I think he wants to record on-screen activities and using a camera for this would be just plain silly.

CamStudio is a free program. There are tons of paid-for programs out there. Try googling for "screen recorder".
