lost XP

hi i'v got a problem with hp laptop. Evrething is ok, but sometimes if i turn him on, he can't find os system....
Everything fixes removing and once more putting hard drive. Anyone know why sth. like this happens?

You probably have a bad cable between motherboard and harddisk. Replace it, it's cheap.
