The affected companies should just offer a bounty on them, like in the olden days. Put enough money on the table, they'll get sold out by someone. There is no point in doing something for the lulz if you don't brag about it.

Theres a way to stop anonymous and lulzsec...companies just need to put in a 256bit hash encryption or 512bit DES-X, thats it, no brute force or DDoS will push through that since its almost impossible to hack
