Make Make Television appear onto my Computer

Hello, i have been wondering how to make your television appear on a computer.

I have a laptop and have an video output on it in the back. I used the video cord and put it in into the TV. The only options i have when i press Fn and through F5 is makin it only making Computer Screen appear on both laptop and tv, only tv, or only computer

Can i make it the other way around? And if i dont have the write equipment... what would i need to do this?

is there anything cheaper?

well what i really want is to be able to record videos on my xbox and to go to my laptop. So i was gonna use like fraps on my laptop to record.... So do you have any suggestions?

You need a video input from your tv to your laptop.

I probably wouldn't suggest fraps considering a 1min file usually takes about about 1gb of hdd space recording half screen at 20fps
