Media Center will not go back to sleep

I have a media center that is running Visa Premium .I want the computer to go into sleep mode after it records my TV programs.I set it to go into sleep mode after 10 min.

If it is in sleep mode it will come out of sleep mode and record. I can't get it to go back to sleep after it has recorded .
Is this a settings issue or what? Or can't this be done this way.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Maybe a device is configured to wake it up? Perhaps a NIC or your recording device (if that's even possible)?

Take a look in the Device Manager (Start > Search > devmgmt.msc) and check the power management settings for your recording device and your NIC (if you have one). Right click the device > Properties > Power Management > Uncheck "Allow this device to wake the computer" or whatever.

Your keyboard and mouse among other components might also be the culprit, just disable one at a time until you figure out what it is.
