A little over two weeks ago rumors surfaced that Dell was interested in going private. At the time we were hearing that private-equity firm Silver Lake Partners was heavily involved in the negotiations alongside company founder Michael Dell.

Way more than he needs. I say we seize it all and pay off .067 percent of our national debt instead of letting him reinvest it.

Dell, here's my one cent cash investment...and one cent statement. :)

anyway, when microsoft pumped cash into the then struggling apple company, did ms had a say in apple operations?

No but Internet Explorer and Office found there way onto OSX shortly after. Besides it was an deal between Gates and Jobs.
