Microsoft's latest HoloLens video highlights limited field of view

Microsoft has published a new HoloLens video that showcases what’s likely to be one of many uses for the device once the consumer version arrives. Perhaps more interesting, however, is the fact that the clip offers a look at HoloLens’ limited field of view.

As you can see in multiple parts of the video (0:49, 0:58, 1:23, 1:37, 1:42), there’s a somewhat small window in which you can actually see the holographic effect (look for the clipping around the edges). Microsoft has already addressed the matter and for those reading between the lines, this new video was probably put out to help visualize the field of view.

This needs 2-3 more years of work, similar to what we've seen for VR tech. improve the input lag, improve the wireless display range and latency and improve the holographic image quality and size.
