Mobo/processor compatability question

ok so i have a question.

my motherboard has the holes for the pins of the processor to slide in but the processor i got has no pins just flat gold connections. will this still work or do i need another mobo (both are 775). thanks a million guys

yes it will fit, np, its suppose to be like that, there's pins on the mobo, they are to make contact with the cpu.
