Monitor goes blank...

so while gaming my monitor goes blank then the LED light flashes yellow like its in sleep mode. have to reboot pc to get it to come on again...any ides?

Please tell us the computer brand and model, and the monitor brand and model. Also the frequency of how often it happens... Does it happen when you first turn on your sytem, or does it occur after it has been on longer than 35 minutes.

fig'd it out. i just bought a new HD and forgot to update the drivers for the graphics card. ty for your time tho

but...... just encase it does hap again...samsung syncmaster 210T
pc is home built.
amd athlon 2.8 duel core black chip
asus m3n72-d mootherboard
geforce 9600 graphics card
2 gigs ddr2
500 gig sata drive
if u have any ideas as to why it may have hap'd other than the drivers pls let me know

i should have updated this sry. the prob was my graphics card over heating. i put some new thermal cream on the gpu and everything is running like a dream now. ty for ur time
