Mortal Kombat 11 Review

There is nothing more infuriating than playing Mortal Kombat and having different fighting styles.

When you play MK, you are essentially learning the fighting characteristics of a handful of players - and those characteristics aren't supposed to change. New characters can be added - bringing new characteristics...but the playing field is only level when players have a good idea what their opponent is capable of.

EDITING fighting styles is worse than variety in fighting styles because now the opponent has no idea what to expect at all.

Another review with the word f*ck uncensored, and even all in caps, allowed, but comments by readers are censored. Way to go, techspot.

While I don't play MK I definitely appreciate the awesome action movie that the story mode is.

There is not fighting game even close to Mortal Kombat. Thoses Injustice, Tekken, Soul Calibur, Killer instinct are Shitty Games.

I do not like these NetherRealm Studios Mortal Kombat games. These games are too gory, have no taste, are infuriating to play and doesn't even look good. Mortal Kombat is dead to me, but I can accept people like NetherRealm fighting games. That's what I call these titles, NetherRealm games.

Mortal Kombat originally had style, good music, some humour, some blood and gore, but most importantly it was easy to understand, just pick up and play. The moves were cool, but nothing is cool in these new titles. These new titles are a travesty. This is nothing new though, since pretty much after Mortal Kombat 2 the downhill started already. I only wish for such a cool fighting game like the first one was, with decent enough move combinations and some more characters to play.

Fighting games are not popular due to not having any taste. Good taste and the atmosphere are very important things and there is pretty much no fighting games expect UFC that nails any kind of mood. I do not leave in the past either, since I don't revisit Mortal Kombat games almost ever. Only with one friend of mine we play Mortal Kombat 2 occasionally. Fighting games need to be more work of art rather than just having millions of characters, stupid and unnecessary dialogue, super complex and long combos, only blood, titties and humour that fits better a 13 year old rather than 18+ people who are legally allowed to purchase these games.

Right??? As a working adult with very little gaming time available, I follow these games literally JUST for the cut scenes. For example, did you know that the Injustice 2 videogame cutscenes all together, make a pretty awesome 2-hour film?
