Gaming Keyboards That Punch Above Their Weight: Redragon Eclipse K720 Pro and K686 Pro SE Anime Review

I ended up buying a Red Dragon M612 mouse when my g502 died and I must say, "punching above its weight class" is a very accurate way to describe their products. It's far more comfortable and the only feature I miss is the scroll-wheel lock on the g502. But I think I got it on sale for something silly like $12 and it keeps up with my old $70 g502 so I have nothing to complain about.

It's shame they're both ugly as sin (subjectively). Though I can at least see some liking the style of the anime edition.

Recently bought a Logitech Wave and very happy with it. All of these 'gaming' keyboards are loud, ugly and horrible. I'd rather have something functional and comfortable over something flashy.

This is an interesting review. Some nice features. The lack of, as you say, "shine through" key caps (for dark room use) or adjustable feet seems limiting. Would anyone in the Western World have concerns about using a keyboard made by a company based in... that particular place of origin?

Redragon software is the biggest problem with their products. Otherwise, they are reliable with decent build quality and features.

I agree. I also don't like that certain models have their own usb-receiver and it can't be shared between 2 devices so you wind up with 2 devices plugged in.

I have the K707 Star Blade from redragon as my couch keyboard for my HTPC beside the TV in the living room.
It's great.
I use it with a Linux system (Mint) and don't mind how good or bad their software would be on Windows. I don't need it.

I like its great quality/price ratio, the excellent typing feeling, the silence, and its reactivity to go out of "sleep" and transmit a key when I type it (on a HTPC, it's really, really, really annoying to have to press a key again and again during several seconds for the keyboard to wake up and finally send the hit, to pause a movie for instance).
