Motherboard questions

Hey all,

I was just wondering if someone could clarify for me why some mobos are upwards of $200 and others are $50 with basically the same features? In other words, what affects the performance of a motherboard aside from the FSB, memory capacity, pcie vs agp, etc etc. Is there something else to look at when comparing motherboards? And what makes one chipset better than another, for example?

Thanks

quality of chipsets, features, component quality, etc...

chipset quality refers to to the actual quality of the electronics. For example, some capacitors are more reliable than others. The circuit construction can be better than inferior versions. Most of the time it is because there are more features offered.
