Mp3 player problems

my mp3 connects to my computer but it says that its file system is corrupted and won't let me format it. How do i format it manually. I've tried using command prompt but that didnt work either. Pls help me!!!

my pcs running windows xp pro sp2. the mp3 players a 128 mb ministry of sound stik. it says it is corrupted but it still has its mbr. i've been using it for the past 3 weeks with no problems. it came with software for win98 that was totally useless
