MS Excel 2003 Slows down

when i try to open a saved Excel file it takes time to open and i ve checked it has nutting to do with the size of the file
operating system : XPpro
MS-office Version: 2003

Look at your AntiVirus software. It's likely scanning the document each time it's opened. Check your AnitVirus options
