Ms Word Run time Error

Hi Guys
On one of the PCs in the house we have been having problems with the once trusty Microsoft Word. For some reason every 5 minutes literally it will come up with a message with C++ Run time error on it. The it is not auto saving any work and blames it all on an unusual program termanation. This is an urgent matter as it will be needed in the Very near future so urgent halp would be Fantastic!

uninstall it and reinstall. Have you done a virus/trojan check lately?

Also I don't buy brand name computers. I build my own.

sorry forgot to ask what do you think is the best program to use to do the virus/trojan check because im not so sure about my virus program
