Multimedia controller problems

I am having problems with my sound/speaker system. My computer keeps saying I have multi-media controller but I can't install it. I bought new speakers thinking it was the old ones. But, now I can't get the multi-media software installed

You need to install the drivers for the sound card. If your sound card or motherboard came with a CD, the drivers for the device are probably on there. If you don't have such a disk, the setup disk for your computer may have them as well. Getting the right drivers without a CD is also possible, you can usually download them from the manufacturer's site, among others. If you know what brand/model your sound adapter is, you can find drivers online.
