My problem with my micro SD card

[FONT=verdana]I have a micros SD card. When I put it into my windows 7 machine using USB adapter, windows explorer shows that and I also can open it and see the files and folders. But I can't run the files and open the folders. When I double click on either of those, windows hangs. I even can't format it because format fails. I also tried to recover it's data using some tools but couldn't success again. I also tried scan and fix pop-up.[/FONT][FONT=verdana]

[FONT=verdana]I don't think it's dead but surely there is a problem with it. Is there any idea how to fix that?[/FONT]

Have you tried SD card slot on your PC or laptop? If you have one? Might be the USB adapter or the micro sd card. Is the slider lock on it?

No, I have a desktop PC. And neither the micro sd card nor the card adapter have the lock option and also I tried that micro in phones that of course gave same result
