When I connect my iPod Nano or either of my memory sticks, they are detected but I cannot access them through anywhere. For example, none of them show up in "My Computer". I've been looking forever for a way to fix this. Help ; ;

What does Start > Run > diskmgmt.msc tell you about your memory sticks?

Okay, this is good. That means they can be detected and Windows even thinks they are working. There's nothing wrong with your USB ports or your drives... I'm sure.

If you right click on the volumes in disk management, are you able to assign drive letters? If so, try assigning any available drive letter. Does it now give you access in my computer? Try restarting, do you still have access?

There seems to be a drive letter issue with Windows XP that's affecting external storage devices. Check out this thread https://www.techspot.com/vb/topic60377.html . A possible solution to your problem may be posted on the last page.
