my wireless connection shows it is connected but...

internet explorer will not open up, the wireless network is working on another lap top but not on the new dell with the internal card

any suggestions?

actually IE will open up but the internet doesn't come on, it says it cant find the server

You need to check the encryption or any other setting related to the wireless connection. Be sure that everything is still setup properly. It could have very easily been changed on accident.
