Need help: Internet Explorer stopped showing up

My internet explorer stopped loading to screen however under task manager iexplore.exe is under Process tab but not the Applications tab.

How can I resolve this?

I would start by repairing Windows files by running SFC /Scannow.

OS is what? XP?

Might be a bad addon. Try booting into Safe Mode with Networking. In any case, try downloading / running the MS fixit tool to reset IE settings
