Need help with choosing a surround sound system..

Ive just bought myself a new pc , and with a "Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum" sound card , what speakers would someone recommend ? ive never had a sound card before or a decent set of speakers so i have no real idea on what to get , the only two ive found to be probably the best for my money are

Creative Gigaworks S750 (7.1)
Logitech® Z-5500 Digital (5.1)

are there any other better speakers out there ? or under the $1000 mark.

$1000 for speakers wow anything that you buy with that money is good.

well its just im from Newzealand and nothing to do with pc's in nz is cheap compared to other countrys like the usa . I just set that $1000 mark because the Creative Gigaworks S750 (7.1) was $860 by itself and i wasnt sure it thats the top of the line ...
