NEED HELP WITH MONITOR COLORS etc.

I need help fixing the colors on my monitor. i recently baught a 19" viewsonic monitor and ever since i switched monitors the colors on my screen look quite ugly. reds are undefined and some other colors are quite dull as well. i downloaded the specified driver but im still having problems..i tried the monitor on another comp and it works fine..the prongs on the cables an the comp are all fine and undamaged as well. please help me with any possibilities. thank you

What video card do you have in the computer? Right click my computer and go to the device manager an look under display adaptors if you don't know. Write back.
