need serious help

is there any way to change back to 16 bit without going into safe mode or whatever. ill do anything to get my pc back to normal.I cant get past the username , password screen . I got T2482 emachines.

the easiest way is to go into safemode and change it there....maybe a new monitor will help.

could getting a new video card help because I changed my number of colors and Im thinking a better video card could be compatible with those number of colors.
