Network Problem..pls help!

Please help me with my networking problem...My PC is connected on a LAN network. I can access Internet thru our gateway, i can also access my email thru our servers, But my problems is that I can't Ping my ipserver, cant connect to other pc.but I also have their network setting. but they cant ping my IP and vice-versa. setup is Win2000, Celeron 600mhz....

.....Weird..I can only ping their Ip when the Logging starts then after a few sec.s 20 or less...my ping command says(unreachable host)...

need more ifo. Is this a Workgroup or domain? O/S ? Firewall? NAT? How many machines?

At first glance it might have something to do with XP SP2s builtin Firewall. I think By default it blocks ping requests unless configured otherwise. OF course if you aren't running XP or Server 2003 sp1 you can conmpletely ignore me. Like Liquid said - need more info
