new custom comp freezing up on certain games

i just bough a pretty nice custom built rig for gaming, all top of the line stuff in it. my comp keeps freezing up on certain games tho or displaying grey squares on walls or textures (i.e. bioshock, and some other games). it displays ether rainbow colors or all green in a bunch of tiny blocks and freezes my comp. do i have a bad video card or something? i dont know what information to tell share to help identify my prob. my video card is a geforce 8800 GTX xtreme edition. world of warcraft and counter strike run perfect. but some other games mess up.

WOW is not a taxing type of game. Somthing in there needs replacing, (a bad component). The only way to find out is to pull parts then run these applications until you find the offender. Put it this way...if you spent good money on a new machine, and now this....you need to take it to the dealer and bring a game that you know will cause it to mess up and display this to the dealer. Then get a new (or repaired) machine. Good Luck.
