8GB is not very much. At least it's a rumor (for now). Also, considering how Nintendo has a history of doing more with less space, I'm not sure how they are gonna handle having all that capacity on their discs. XD
  2. Buying a Wii is no longer relevant since the Wii sucessor Project Café is in the works for 2012.
  3. 150 dollars? I wouldn't pay them over 20 dollars for a Wii!!!! You can buy a Gamecube for like 15 bux now, and the hardware in that is nearly identical to what's in the Wii.

The Wii is and has been a huge ripoff for many years, pretty much since it's launch in '06 with it's 2001 hardware.

No thank you Nintendo, take those god awful things and bury them in the desert next to those Atari ET games.

The wii was not about graphics, they used there resources to develop a interactive game, the first ever interactive based console. Duh?

That's the problem with people, they feel graphics are a majority of the reason to "buy" a new console. Also with the Wii you can play older games, without the hassle of all those consoles cluttering your house. I'd gladly take a Wii console and a Gamecube controller, just for the sake of playing N64 and the like with a full controller.
  6. I posted the message about how the Wii is a ripoff.

It's not just about the graphical power of the Wii, it's also about the quality of the games. 90+ percent of all Wii games are cheaply made garbage churned out in China and sold for top dollar to the rest of the world. The other ten percent is made up of Nintendo's own titles (which are good) and the few games from other publishers that were actually decent. It's a shovelware system, how can anyone defend it?

And the Wii being an "interactive gaming system"? Get real! "Shake the wiimote" is just a simulated button press, same as "swing wiimote". It's just simulated button presses. Ever tried Dolphin? Yeah, that's 100% proof that the wiimote is just a useless gimmick.

its funny how some people only care about graphics and then buy consoles instead of a pc.

even by your opinion that only 10% of wii games are good, there are still about 1000games?
to me 10% would be enough because i wouldn't have enough time to play 100 games anyways......

if you swing a wiimote and the character in game swings how is that not interactive? you are performing the same action as you would in real life. yes all the swinging motions are simulated button presses, but how does that keep it from being an interactive action? obviously there are limitations, but at the most basic level it is still interactive.
  9. I think this this scenario would be exceedingly cool:
After having heldback on shear horsepower with the Wii and having courted the casual market,
the Wii 2, when released, is seen to be the ultimate hard-core console and the best way to play the best future FPS titles.

I'm not suggesting that will actually happen, but having a touch-sensitive screen on the controller provides food for thought. Perhaps it would provide faster response than those stupid analog sticks on conventional Xbox 360 and PS3 controllers? Analog sticks have always been a compromise, rather a poor alternative to a mouse. Anyone who's tried to shoot the asteroids in Dead Space on the Xbox 360 knows exactly what I'm talking about.
