No signal from keyboard

i turn the computer on it beeps twice then says eithor keyboard error or kb/interface error then press f1 to resume. how do i do that if the kb is not working? anyone kno what the beeps mean? the computer is a commodore thats like 10 years old?

new keyboard

the keyboard has a wierd plug end i tried to plug this new one into it but i couldn't. the end looks the same as a newer one but larger and with only 5 prongs instead of six. can i still buy a keyboard like this?

It would be easier if you stated the brand and model of the keyboard in question.

They make adapters for that, althought I'm unsure of what they are called at the moment.

dead keyboard...

same thing happpend to my old keyboard bro... the led lights came on, so power was going to the keyboard, but it never worked... u can get one from the thrift store for like 2 bux...
