Realtek AC'97 problems

i have rebooted my pc and alas no sound. have tried reinstalling my Realtek AC'97 driver but it keeps crashing on me. i tried to download new driver from realtek site but that also made me crash, so have had to disable my driver so no sound.

have spent last day and a half on this and am going nuts........

please help

Well, that's strange. That is the download site for drivers for the Intel D845BG that this thread is about.

Or, do you have a different motherboard and just jumped in here with no info asking for help?

:)

Uninstall the Easy Internet Keyboard from device manager and re-boot and see what happens.

ive tried that, all that happens is the comp finds "new software" wen it restarts itself and then it shows right back up again in the device manager...
